Once we settled on an idea we started looking at local wedding planners and discovered Nicole. We were immediately drawn to Nicole's hands-on approach towards planning our wedding. She ensured that all communication was timely and appropriate, and listened to all our ideas with honest two-way communication to make our dreams come true. She was incredibly thorough, doing lots of behind the scenes work to ensure everything was progressing on time to make our wedding day everything we could have ever hoped for and then some. She provided comprehensive insight through her planning software as to how the wedding would be styled, capturing the guests who would be attending, and providing a succinct overview of the budget for the wedding. It was great having all of this in one place. We would highly recommend Nicole to any couple looking to have a destination wedding as she will be sure to provide an experience you will never forget!

We begonnen met het idee om in het buitenland te trouwen met alleen ons gezin, maar besloten later om met gasten te trouwen. Nicole heeft ons fantastisch geholpen met die switch. Ze zorgde ervoor dat alles goed georganiseerd was en we het overzicht hielden. Een fijn moment was toen ze onze geloften bekeek en ons nuttige feedback gaf. Negatieve ervaring: It is disheartening for me to leave this review, but it is written in honesty and sincerity as me and my family are being threatened legally by Nicole. My wife and I had initially booked our wedding experience with Nicole going off her bubbly personality. I was willing to let go of the laissez-faire planning and not knowing what was happening through the planning process as I figured there would be a cultural difference. Note. I am from Canada and planning a wedding in Amsterdam. Upon arriving to Amsterdam my wife had an unfortunate incident of food-poisoning as well as gluten-poisoning; she is a celiac. For many who dont know, in extreme circumstances this can lead to hospitalization. Because we were in a foreign country, our best option was to cancel the Wedding in case of needing to be hospitalized. The problem started when we requested to cancel the wedding. Given that it was a panic situation for us in a foreign country, I ask readers to empathize with our situation: I was met with intense resistance to cancel our wedding even though I was ready to forgo 20,000 EU. My main prerogative was that my wife would be healthy enough to leave the country by the end of the week. We started getting tagged in an Instagram story with a huge "CANCELLED" sign plastered on our initials by Nicole. Stating that this had never once happened in her career. While I understand this was upsetting for her, I do not have time to attend to her emotions while my wife is really sick and potentially needs her stomach pumped. We were then sent our wedding cupcakes to our hotel room without notice. Unfortunately we missed this because I had moved my wife to an Airbnb, so we could have a kitchen to make celiac friendly food, and I could give my wife an open window of fresh air. When Nicole asked if we received the cupcakes and I replied no, it was followed by a text message claiming "why did you not just stay at the Waldof Astoria, the room that was booked for your wedding night". I was really confused because I had told her to cancel everything? I would not go stay at a hotel and we are currently trying to cancel? Again, I did not have time to attend to Nicoles emotion. Fast-forward today. I am leaving this google review because of an e-mail I am receiving from Nicole threatening to sue me for a negative google review I left with a different email address. I can honor the fact that she would want my full name posted, so I am here to write an honest review. I am being accused of suddenly cancelling my wedding as my wife was intensely ill on the trip. It was "surprising and disheartening" for nicole especially given the extensive work and financial investment involved. Yet I am the one 20 thousand euros out of pocket, I am unsure what she has lost in this transaction as I paid her in full, and tipped her 500-600 Euros on top of it. I politely asked her the day before the wedding event if we could cancel with all vendors, and if any of them were willing to issue a refund that would be wonderful, if not I completely understand. I am now being accused of ruining her relationships with vendors. We asked if we could pay our makeup artist in cash multiple times over zoom and in person, and she said yes. Now I am being told it was an unspoken exception she was doing for us, and I am now rude. I am a bit confused because I was unaware this favor was being done at all? Not to mention when we messaged the makeup artist to see if she received the cash payment a week after the wedding cancellation, the reply we got was that she did not. And when I asked Nicole the day before, she confirmed that the make-up artist had received the funds. This is just the iceberg. For legal purposes I will not be posting any written receipts or texts. It is deeply saddening that it has come to legal action over defamation of a google review. Fortunately I am quite well off. I am fully prepared to take Nicole on with my legal team. Not only is she causing further distress to my family now, she is making it personal.

Fantastische ervaring: Nicole and her assistant Loreen were wonderful thoughout the process of planning our destination wedding in Amsterdam. Nicole made herself available for calls whenever we needed, even from abroad in very different time zones. Her being a local and speaking Dutch was hugely helpful and she had lots of suggestions for vendors. She kept in close touch with our vendors to ensure they would deliver on what was agreed. Her and her assistant joined us for the day before the wedding as well and helped guide our group and make sure we didn’t have to worry about anything. She even took some very nice photos to share with us. I was worried about getting all the pieces in place while planning from the US but we made it happen and My Forever Weddings did a really great making it worry-free. As I was looking for someone, ANYone, and having no luck, I ran across Nicole. Even though we were not her client, she tapped into her network and found an officiant who met our specific needs. Fantastische ervaring: My Forever Wedding's heeft ons perfect geholpen bij het plannen van onze buitenlandse bruiloft. We hadden fijn contact, ik kon altijd bellen of appen maar Nicole gaf ons het gevoel dat alles tot in de puntjes was geregeld. Ze is heel persoonlijk en luisterde goed naar onze wensen. Ze is zelfs naar Schiphol gekomen met een cadeautje voor ons bij thuiskomst! Dat extra stapje, dat is precies Nicole! Ik raad haar zeker aan!

Negatieve ervaring: In our search for a wedding abroad we found Nicole. Initially a very nice impression, she was on top of everything and completely understood what we needed. Immediately after paying the first invoice the first points of criticism started; deadlines were not met, we were not regularly informed, the locations that were found were directly outside our budget or already fully booked. In December we became restless because our wedding would take place in August. A meeting was then scheduled at which we would discuss a plan of action, but she mainly wanted to announce that she was taking a holiday, which meant she would not return to work until mid-January. Still trying to keep the confidence. In January we found a location where she was only networking during the first contact instead of busy with our wedding. After a meeting about this in which we also asked the realistic question of how much added value she would add to our wedding, she indicated that she could not actually add that much anymore. She credited half of the invoice. Our aisle planner stated 6% but we had to pay 50%, ridiculous! Our case has now been submitted to legal aid and it has been stated that they will take over the case because we are completely within our rights. Paid the invoice through them to end the bad aftertaste of this collaboration, furthermore it is legally settled by them. Overall, our experience is that Nicole is a friendly lady who is enthusiastic about her work, but is actually only successful when it is basic work from her previous collaborations, as soon as custom work is involved (that is why we hired Nicole). agreements not fulfilled.
